In 1967, a small but faithful group led by the late Bishop Robert I. and Mother Mable L. Thomas stepped out on faith to plant a new ministry in the heart of Corona, New York. From a humble storefront on Northern Boulevard to the purchase of their first church building on 34th Avenue, the early Refuge Church of Christ was built on prayer, sacrifice, and the belief that God could do the impossible.

In 2007, that same spirit of faith and purpose led the church to its current home in South Ozone Park. Reestablished as Greater Refuge Church of Christ, the ministry has flourished over the past 20 years—expanding its vision, deepening its community impact, and carrying the legacy forward under the continued leadership of Pastor Robert I. Thomas Jr.

As we celebrate 60 years of legacy and 20 years on Sutter Avenue, we remember our history with gratitude, honor the saints who paved the way, and are committed to building a future where the love of Jesus Christ reaches beyond our walls—spiritually, emotionally, and materially.

Early Bird: $200 per person through March 31, 2027

Regular Price: $225 per person beginning April 1, 2027

A non-refundable $60 initial deposit per person is required to reserve your seat.

After your initial deposit is received, additional payments toward your remaining balance will be scheduled and communicated to you.

Limited seating is available. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

 

Important Information

  • Your $60 initial deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • A ticket is not considered fully paid until the entire balance has been received.

  • All payments are applied toward the registered guest's gala balance.

  • Ticket pricing is based on the date of purchase/payment, not the date of the event.

  • Early Bird pricing ends March 31, 2027. Regular pricing begins April 1, 2027.

  • Children under 12 receive the $100 rate; the same $60 initial deposit applies.

  • All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for cancellations, missed payments, or failure to attend.

  • Guests are responsible for completing their balance by the payment deadlines provided after registration.
